  • Har Ki Pauri:

Har ki Pauri also referred as Brahmakund Ghat is one of the main consecrated bathing Ghat in haridwar. This ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari and also named the ghat after him. Large numbers of pilgrims gather here in the evening to witness the sacred sight of evening Arti. The site presents the most captivating view for spectators of the eve in the form of the golden hues of floating lamps or diyas in the river Ganga.
  • Asthi Parwah Ghat

The Asthi Parwah Ghat is the ghat meant for immersing ashes of the departed souls of the family. It is believed that the cooling waters of the river will bestow salvation upon the departed soul. The ghat is located in south of the main Ganga temple.
  • Subhash Ghat

Subhash Ghat is the ghat present adjacent to the Har-Ki-Pairi with a statue of the freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. A dispensary to provide medical help to the visitors and help them is present on this ghat. The dispensary is run by the Sewa Samiti, another voluntary organization.
  • Gau Ghat

Gau ghat is present in south of Subhash Ghat. The word “gau” means cow, so this is the ghat where people seek atonement for the sin of cow-slaughter. Death ceremonies were completed with the pious act of donating a cow. The sin of killing a cow is “equal to the sin of killing a Brahmin”.
